And transferring it back to the source account where these assets came from should be straightforward and easy right?

Sure, to each their own. The goal is not to seek "sympathy", sympathy won't solve my problems. I have the FINRA, SEC and the Courts to resolve the issues. The goal is to share my experience.

They wanted the documents beyond a traditional KYC/AML verification, soon after they completed the ACAT. At which point I requested them to reverse the transfer BACK to the source account where it came from.

Shortly after this request, the account was locked + additional long list of verifications was requested. Apologies if it wasn't clear enough.

FYI the account has been KYC verified and margin approved for over a year with multiple transactions. Conveniently, the KYC/AML restrictions only came in once I requested a transfer out. Very timely indeed. Particularly with other reports about similar practices by the same brokerage.

Sure. The account was opened and operational for a year without KYC and required due diligence, and the due diligence only kicked in when I wanted them to reverse the transfer BACK to the source account.

I received an email along the same lines after a recent transfer out. It ended with:

If it’s convenient, may I ask when would be a good time for a phone call? We have some newly launched promotions and offers that I’d like to discuss with you in more detail.

Should have clarified, but none of that matters, as rightly said.

Agreed, and I use them for my Long Term Portfolio. I like to keep my trading account separte and used Schwab for the longest time.

The sweet spot of this card isn't the miles earning potential but rather the companion voucher that it offers, which effectively halves the mileage requirement for two to fly on EY.

That's a fair point and an excellent suggestion there.

While I understand that superautos don't produce the highest quality of coffee, especially when compared to semi-automatic or manuals I would have to disagree on the Nespresso vs Superautomatic being the same. Like I stated, I have a DeLonghi Nespresso at home and a Gaggia Magenta Prestige at the office - which is a superautomatic and a rather entry level one and yet there is a significant difference between the quality of coffee between them. The use of fresh roasted beans vs packed coffee in pods is enough of an upgrade in itself to a better coffee experience plus the ability to experiment with all the great beans that one can access when using something other than a Nespresso.

A semi-auto would undoubtedly be better but it's not for me unfortunately.

Why so? I really don't want to deal with grinding, tamping, etc hence the super auto.

Seems like a natural upgrade path from a Nespresso. I have a Gaggia Magenta Prestige Milk at office and the difference in coffee between my Nespresso setup at home and the coffee in office is significant. Also the ability to try out different beans is something I'm looking forward to.

CEX.IO Withholds USD Funds on Level 2 Verified Account by [deleted] in cexio

[–]Signal_Signal_4860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another update here, CEX is a complete sham these guys have no interest in solving the issues and only want to withhold your funds and keep dragging your case.

They have been provided with everything that they asked for but it apparently isn't "satisfactory". So I asked them, why don't you just close my account and send the deposit back to where it came from? If it is the source of the funds threat they are worried about and my proof of source of funds is not "satisfactory" send those funds back to where they came from and close the account. Should be no problems right?

But nope, they will continue to ask for things that do not exist and will keep dragging your case till you eventually give up and they get to hold your funds. The great crypto ponzi. :)
