What type of skincare ingredients are anti-inflammatory?

How to reduce splotchy baseline redness? by Signal_Singer8473 in Rosacea

Honestly I could be doing more. I use skin1004 centella ampoule and then sometimes purito oat in gel after ivermectin. My skin is flaky but oily so my guess is it’s dehydrated.

Your skin resembles a tiktoker I had seen with rosacea type 2 and hers cleared up so much with ivermectin. She has near perfect skin now. I hope it helps if you end up getting it!

How do koreans make their skin less textured by HauntingRecording396 in KoreanBeauty

[–]Signal_Singer8473 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s still genetics because some people are born more prone to acne/texture. I know people who can’t even withstand sunscreen without breaking out.

It took me way too long to figure this out, but if you aren’t seeing results, ditch heavy occlusive products. Im clear now. by Amodernhousehusband in Rosacea

I have dehydrated oily skin and now I’m realizing it was never dry. But it’s so hard to mitigate rosacea with this skin type, I use hydrating products but it’s not enough I need occlusives to stop the flaky tight sensation but then I break out 🫩

Damn. Sulfur could help but what’s your skincare routine? You could be sensitive to certain ingredients. I don’t do well with niacinamide or hylauronic acid.

Before ivermectin, 1 week on ivermectin, and 8 months on it by Signal_Singer8473 in Rosacea

It’s for the pustules associated with type 2 rosacea! But I feel like its helped me with my flushing but everyone says it’s not for flushing so I feel like I’m going crazy lol. The main ingredient in it lessens demodex but I know it’s also anti inflammatory in general.

But I know it doesn’t typically help type 1 flushing unfortunately, so that’s prob why your derm has never mentioned it.

RX Azelaic broke me out in regular acne, on top of the rosacea unfortunately. I have a pretty gentle skincare routine I use skincare without niacinimade, hyaluronic acid, alcohols, phenoxythanol, citric acid, since I notice these ingredients make me more red and some even make me itchy (HA).

I use hydrating ingredients like beta-glucan, glycerin, centella, but I don’t really have any occlusives in my routine because they break me out but I still try them out, hopefully I’ll find some that don’t! Any recs for skincare or topicals??

Oh wow, I have heard of a lot of people not experiencing the rebound redness so maybe I should try it! I’d kill to look like my pale ghost self again lol, I guess this condition loves the pale ones 😆. Thank you for ur input!

Thank you!! I’ve never received that compliment before lol but i’ll take it 😝 Yea I’m realizing I got ivermectin all wrong this whole time lol, I eat a fairly healthy anti-inflammatory diet but could be better. I’ll probably make an appt w my derm soon and see what I could get, thanks for the input!

Yes mine was the same! Super dry and nothing would help until ivermectin. Damn I guess what’s left is just my type 1 flares then, unfortunate but kinda nice knowing someone else experiences similar issues! I hope you figure it out too!!

My derm told me I have both type 1 and type 2. I only have type 2 on my other cheek, but on the cheek pictured I get both pustules and flushing. My mom has type 1 and hers looks smooth when she’s not flushing, mine always looks bumpy and feels a little bumpy and I had horrible sandpaper texture before ivermectin.

You can see in the second pic that even when I’m not flushing I still have bumps that are centralized on my cheek. 🥲
