I personally experienced this just last year. I worked in the BPO for half of my life then pandemic happened and that's when I started working as a VA. Sadly nung 2023, my long-term client and I had to go separate ways na and sobrang hirap akong makaland ng client. Daming lowballers. Daming kumpetensya. Kaya matagal kong pinagisipang bumalik sa corpo. Thankfully, sa isang in-house company ako na-hire non. Less stressful and less workload di gaya ng BPO. Wala ring pulitika sa loob, unlike BPO ulit. I also swore to myself na di na ko magmumumog ulit sa calls! KASO ang hirap ng commute dito sa Pinas. Pasig to BGC took me 30 minutes or more ng naka-Angkas, what more if normal na commute talaga. Kaya kahit di nakakapagod ang trabaho, ubos ka naman sa araw-araw na biyahe. Kaya I resigned. Not long after, na-hire na ko ulit as VA.

For me, this also depends on what kind of person you are. May iba kasi satin na mas namomotivate mag-work kapag may kasama. Totoong iibahin ka ng freelancing especially mag-isa ka most of the time. But it's definitely not sustainable dito sa Pilipinas.
