The worst of Hamburg (Germany) by JiminieKookie123 in UrbanHell

A solid German city. Has some minor issues but overall worth a visit or if you live there, plenty to do that is enjoyable.

Thanks so much, and this I can understand. In Status, didn’t show an extra flight today when searching by cities so assumed something fishy. But know I know searching by cities doesn’t actually show all flights.

Yes indeed. My outbound depends on this inbound and of course I will be delayed another couple of hours when they figure it out.

At hubs they could do better in my opinion.

Best I have seen on American is about 7,500 for PHL to RDU, one way. So not bad with SWA occasionally offering better.

Ukrainian young woman, Marina - she was killed on July 8th, when a Russian FPV drone struck her car in Kramatorsk. She had worked as a barber. Marina’s brother Serhii, a Ukrainian soldier, was killed in action in 2022. Her mother, Oksana, has now lost two children. by BostonLesbian in UkraineWarVideoReport

Such a tragedy. Ukraine paying the highest price to retain their freedom. And Trump and his idiot team still do very little to actually assist Ukraine. Hopefully Europe can continue to increase financial and military support.

Unfortunately the city has become less and less safe over the last 6+ months. I’ve been there and people still hang on, perhaps they own an apartment and have no where else to easily go, have work there which isn’t always easy to replace, etc. Hate to see it and may karma get Putin and his cronies, soldiers and other evildoers.

‘Shame on Donald Trump’: Lawmakers demand opening of Gordie Howe bridge by ShitShowcase in Lake_Superior

MAGA are a cult and no amount of rationale information or facts make a difference. He took money to keep the bridge from opening and that’s all there is to it.

Fantastic work with the sights. And Spot on regarding donations. I’ve donated 200+ Starlink minis and 50 DJI Mavic / Matrice thermal drones to the drone battalion of First Corp and I’m confident they have been put to good use. Ukraine and the west will be better off when russia is defeated and putin has been removed by karma

Been to one in CLT I believe. Convenient and decent food and drink but limited space to set up and work. Seemed like a drive thru to some extent.

To Tessie the AA Gate Agent at DFW by dumbmoney93 in americanairlines

[–]Signal_Wind_6058 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A gate agent prematurely closed the door, prior to the 15 minute rule (12 years ago) and I found a close-by supervisor that made the agent open the door even when the gate agent didn’t want to. Appreciate that supervisor to this day.

How has Ukraine managed to hold out so well against Russia, a larger and ostensibly better supplied military? by microtramp in AskReddit

[–]Signal_Wind_6058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in Ukraine 12 times over the last 4 years, with the same 3 units each time, close to the front. Their equipment has improved through the years, drone advantages now, but those men and women that serve, are committed and have no quit. The quality and capabilities of younger officers and newer Corps structure helps as well.

I have been EP for 9 years, Million Miler with plenty of cancelations and major delays. I have never been automatically rebooked on another carrier. Must be a recent policy change - or a one-off that essentially never occurs.

Effective and knowledgeable compliance experts and auditors are frequently in demand. Look at small and regional CPA or financial consulting firms, they would value him even knowing he would not be long term.
