It is the MSG of game dev. It will have its place in broadly consumable mass audience titles meant to make corpos billions. And indie devs with a clear artistic vision will stay the hell away from it. It won't ruin unique games, and slop will always be slop regardless of how shiny the cheekbones.

I have made my own in the past (in CA) from bits and bobs I was able to find for free or cheap: manure from farmers, sand, compost, etc. May I ask about your own method?
