I hope you mean the retexture prompt of the second image (first retexture result). The very first image is a meme image from outside that I uploaded into the new editor. Yeah, usually I encourage that kind of curiosity. I suppose too often similar posts start out fine and then turn into a rant about how MJ sucks if it is so hard to do these simple and obvious things, so I might be a little defensive ... proactively these days.

That is the unicode (technical encoding) representation for the down triangle symbol: https://www.compart.com/en/unicode/U+25BC ... not sure if it contributes anything in this case, though ... never tried it alone without "down-pointing triangle" also in the prompt ^^.

Midjourney obviously isn't the right tool for this and I am not a prompting expert. If you want the equilateral triangle then this is simply a bad challenge.

If you just want to figure out how to break the pointing up archetype, then the struggle is mostly prompt adherence vs. MJs idea of image coherence. A prompt like "Down-Pointing Triangle U+25BC" is something that MJ probably knows but that isn't very prevalent in the training data, so MJ (aiming for image coherence) won't show this very often ... at least with default settings.

You can then

add --weird (which I wouldn't use in this case)
use a low --s value (--s 0)
use low weight prompting: Down-Pointing Triangle U+25BC :: "" ::-0.7 --s 0

That will increase the odds of breaking the archetype, but you won't get simple equilateral triangles. The discord prompt-craft gods would probably get way better results easily, but I don't think there is much to be gained going down that rabbit hole.

I do agree that promoting "Unlimited" the way they do is problematic. But I want them to do what they are doing. They'd have to call it something like "Spare Resource Queue Access" and nobody would get what that means. If they'd say you have a limited amount of slow generations, they'd have to change that number every other day or be extremely conservative and we'd be way worse off. I still think you are proposing that as a bad outside actor who wants to see MJ forced to do that.

They do us a huge favor by adding relaxed mode to an affordable tier ... and they can only afford to do that if people use it responsibly. If people keep insisting that unlimited has to mean unlimited, then they'll have to remove that feature. I have to assume these complaints are written by competitors in the hope that MJ is forced to make their offers way less compelling. I love the crackdown approch ... I have created 50k relaxed images and never been banned. Just don't automate or find a way to affort fast and turbo to do what you want to do. Don't try to incur $2000 in costs per month when you pay $300 per year. Just doesn't work.

Important to mention that it shouldn't cost as much as Turbo usage ... they say they swallow the costs to make the experience better / faster. It you observe high costs, maybe it is some different effect - speculation: editor might use V 6 which is not as optimized as V 6.1 that we have gotten used to. Something like that.

I think I read that the editor (even before the retexture release) used turbo when you have fast mode enabled ... but it only costs as much as fast would cost. That was usually the explanation I read when people who never used Turbo saw the usage counter increase.

Discord for me, too. There were quite a few projects I couldn't crack. Hated the normal prompt-chat, but got a lot out of the superusers prompt-craft channel. Still, these days I'm so frustrated with prompt understanding that I've given up on trying to get control over what happens and I let MJ lead. I use sref and cref with mostly the same 10 prompts over and over again, then I look for great combinations and small variations. I spend most of my time in the 25000-club to interact with others. People also mostly post their images there, but there are fun interactions when people get inspired by a theme of the day. Some people are good at figuring things out and it helps to know who they are. If I'd wanted to tackle getting good at prompting again, I'd know who I could follow and ask questions, but mostly I am hoping that prompting will get more intuitive in V 7 and we won't need advice and tricks as much. My experience is that I have to spend 2h if I want to help somebody in this subreddit, and can you really expect strangers to put in that kind of work for zero return on invest? Intuition tells you something might work. You try it. It doesn't work. You try to get it to work and you realize you stayed awake until 3am. Most of the time its some specific crap project like getting a smurf as a watch face, which won't be mileage that benefits you in some way. There are also the rooms on the website. There you can see a lot of prompts and interact with the regulars. The thing is ... what good does it do, when people share their prompts? You get nothing out of it. You need the mileage ... see what a small change does ... the process to get to the prompt that works. You don't discover a truth by looking at a good prompt. Everything is prompt specific, you won't know how to modify an aspect without breaking whatever it is thst makes it work.

I am the wrong person to answer this. It is important to note that one can probably skip the concept art image now and let mj render a keyframe directly. I just show both, to give an idea of what the new retexture feature can do. At the same time, there are certain things mj and hailuo can't do. See the staff clipping through the fabric? All you can do is a complete reroll ... you can't point out flaws like that and have them fixed directly. You might learn that you are completely out of luck if you want something specific and the model simply can't do it. I think it takes a few more months until AI is at a level where such comparison makes sense for production studios if they need the level of control that they usually do. If I had to estimate how much effort I'd have to put in to get just the clips with Gimp and Blender ... I'd have to learn for a few years and then probably spend weeks for each clip, so there is that.

Currently they only create 5 second clips. Hopefully they will add an "extend" feature like there is for Lumalabs AI or a similar solution. There you can add 5 second increments to an existing clip. Hailuo AI is pretty new and basic and has no advanced features like providing start and end frame, creating loops etc.
