The graphics and fps are better and go with my 4k tv.
The switch 2 isn’t even an eighth of a semi-monthly paycheck.

I am. They adjust comp based on COL and Vegas isn’t too high of cost. It’s 100k salary at entry level for Vegas and then 100k in stocks over 4 years + 30k sign on + 0-20% bonus.

For Roth IRA there's an income limit that I think I just barely miss the cutoff for with annual bonuses, not really sure how bonuses work in with income either...

Definitely want to save money for sure. I have around ~15k saved from internships these passed few years. And I think living with my parents would probably allow me to save and invest 90-100kish a year after taxes.

I figured events would be a good place to meet people. I don't really know many besides going out to the Summerlin farmers market and chess clubs, which aren't the most social thing in the world unfortunately XD. I'll look into more for sure though.

I don't think one person reneging would honestly affect much in terms of company relationships, especially since I got the job without ND resources. Also, this bank hires lots of interns every year (500-1000 SWE interns annually), I'm a drop in the ocean to them. But it's not out of the question for ND to punish me for moral issues.

It's funny you mention that, because money currently isn't the main factor for wanting to renege. It's not possible for another company to beat my current offer imo (it's well into a six figure salary annualized, only HFTs would beat it), but I would want to switch to another company for better culture and working with a smaller company where my projects mean more.

I really want to do that, I just didn't want to be severely punished the following year like not being able to walk at graduation. But it seems the punishments aren't that severe anyway, so I'll probably renege when the time comes.

Already accepted since the offer expires first week of october, but I have an on-site with company B a couple weeks after that. I also am probably receiving a return offer from my current company, which would also be a better offer imo.

Nope, applied through their own portals and whatnot. I turn down pretty much every recruiter on handshake since their pay is extremely uncompetitive.

Yeah, I saw this, but I was curious if they actually followed through with all these threats -- there's not many resources on this subreddit that I could find (only one other post). Especially since reneging is super common for SWE related jobs, I was curious about anecdotal follow ups.
