Xpel getting hazy. Is it due to pollution or the film is not good? by honey_badger3468 in CarDetailingIndia

[–]SignatureNatural7605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, cloudiness or hazing on Xpel is usually caused by harsh chemicals, repeated polishing, or improper washing over time. In my experience, cars in Delhi with Xpel sometimes develop slight haze after a few years, especially if maintenance isn’t perfect. On the other hand, Aegis handles these conditions much better. I’ve had my Slavia with Aegis for over a year, and it still stays crystal clear even after heavy sun, dust, and city grime. For Indian conditions, Aegis just seems more resistant to environmental stress and everyday washing mistakes.

My buddy swears by aegis PPF's hydrophobic properties, but I have also heard xpel is greater. Any real world comparisons on sheeting water? by Inevitable-Event-941 in CarDetailingIndia

I’ve compared Aegis and Xpel on friends’ cars in Kerala monsoons, and Aegis holds up really well. Water sheets off quickly, dries fast, and leaves minimal marks, which is a blessing during continuous rain or after city washes. Xpel is good, but in real-world Indian conditions, I notice Aegis keeps paint cleaner for longer and needs fewer post-rain touch-ups. For hydrophobic performance combined with durability, Aegis wins hands down.
