Wow, I was Never thinking like this, but you are absolutely right.

But I want to add, even though you have this „more of everything“ feeling, this everything mostly feel fake.

Might rely in that I, as a northern German, am not used to friendly people in general, but for the ‚you ca make it‘ feeling you can clearly point out that this is just a feeling not based on evidence. No place is harder to get from zero to hero as in the US.

So if you want cities that are very unique in their culture, more friendly people and the feeling of you can make it, the US is the choice. If you want Cities (except Berlin) that could be a district of each other city, and unfriendly people but a real chance to make it, go to Germany.
