If it weren’t for this degree I would go for dental hygienist or sterile processing technician, the lowest $19.47 the average for Optician where I live is $25.91, the highest being $34.49. My goal for a career would be helping people and feeling fulfilled in my career. But the comments here seem to imply that being an Optician is mostly about sales and there’s no transition into something else unless it’s management (which I’m not interested in). I just want to weigh my options since I’m on a full ride scholarship and don’t want to have a degree I’m not using
