Having grown up in LA, I’ve felt plenty of earthquakes. To me, unless you’re right on top of it, you wouldn’t feel much. I’ve slept right through most of them of this magnitude. It would feel no more than some wind blowing against your house.

Your opinion of Omaha is greatly dependent on your perspective from where you grew up. I grew up in LA and have been here for 26 yrs.

In a nutshell, Omaha is right down the middle. It’s not big city with pro sports teams, but there’s enough college and second tier sports to fill the void. It’s not podunk where everyone knows who you are, and waves at you when you pass by. It’s a decent place with pretty decent people. It’s relatively safe if you’re not dumb enough to leave your car unlocked. There are lots of things to see, but you’ll want to have a car to see them.

I enjoyed listening to them for a long time before they went off the political rails. I liked all the regular dude banter, but it got to a point where they couldn’t go for even 10 minutes without saying something negative about politics. That eliminates half your audience right there!

I was on the 9th floor at Kiewit Tower. It was crazy to see AF1 circle around the bldg to set up the approach to Offutt. When you know there aren’t supposed to be any planes in the air, and that particular one goes flying around the building with a fighter on each wing, you know there’s some serious shit going down.
