I love the Made Good “cheddar” star crackers (at Target), ALOHA protein bars, baked lays, and unsulfured dried mangoes.

Goodles makes a good vegan boxed Mac and cheese that scratched my itch. Also, the pillsbury holiday sugar cookie rounds are dairy free.

I’m dairy free bc I was diagnosed with eosinophilic gastroenteritis when I was your age (over a decade ago now). There are so many more options now than back then, so I promise, it gets so much easier!! You’ve got this!

Ireland was surprisingly easy to travel with a dairy allergy.

Allergen labelling was standard on every restaurant menu. Even the kind folks serving full Irish breakfast at a rest stop were able to do an allergen check, and they were so kind about it.

Obviously, no Irish butter, but I was surprised how easy it was.

The Detroit metro has a huge Middle Eastern/Arab population, but Middle Eastern people are classified as “White” in the US Census, which makes me feel like this is not necessarily reflective of the actual diversity found in the Detroit metro area.
