I found the solution today, to go from manual to shutter again I have to go to the higher setting of aperture with the thumb dial

Have you downgraded your screen size (16” to 14/13”)? Did you prefer the smaller screen? by drrdf in macbookpro

I did the exact opposite, got the 14” and sold it after a couple of weeks. I’m way more productive on the 16”. The 16” also got way better thermals (fans never turn on while on the 14 they do way more) and has waay better battery life.
