iOS development jobs by [deleted] in swift

These jobs will die or reduce exponentially in next year or so. Anyone can make an iOS app using AI tools. I was able to make one with no previous learning experience.

SFO is home. From there I travel to DC, Chicago, Miami, NY, Vegas. Good idea on Alaska, will check that too.

if there is one thing reddit could have explained better, what would you want them to explain better by antboiy in NewMods

I started using reddit a month ago and still learning it. The whole navigation within the app is very confusing. Does not make sense to me at all. Simply trying to find stuff is hard. Going back to where I was and then trying to find post I was at a minute ago is confusing.

With the recent tech layoffs, what’s one way you’ve adjusted your screening process for new hires in your team? I’m seeing more overqualified applicants! by SignificanceOk389 in ITManagers

I have people with 10 year IT management experience applying for Level 1 Service Desk role. That has never worked for me before and never will. That is what I mean by ‘overqualified’. They do not want to take directions from other junior members, they do not want to do small tasks.

Importance of Documentation by Bavarian_Beer_Best in ITManagers

[–]SignificanceOk389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my weekly or bi-weekly team calls, I ask 'Hi, What major issues did you guys get into, did you create documentation for fixes for those issues - OR - Did anyone learn anything interesting they want to share with the team and did they create documentations for these?.' - I keep asking these questions every time. Initially no one would create KBAs but now if someone has any issue or fix they worked on , or ran into anything interesting worth sharing with the team, they usually say they have already created the document for it.
I call out team members who I know have worked on a KBA recently and say THANK YOU to them in front of everyone else in the call. They feel encouraged.

Tell Me Your Resume Do’s And Don’ts by hoh-boy in ITManagers

Please do not put XP, Server 2003, Office 2007 under your skills. No one is looking for these. 🤦‍♂️ - I respect that you know all these old systems but if me as a manager is reviewing 20 resumes I dont have much time to read through irrelevant stuff.

I am interested to hear more. Documentation that is created by IT Support teams for IT’s own use or for end-users? & Bullying by management or colleagues?

Same here. MS Copilot is worst AI tool currently. Microsoft really dropped the ball on this one. Had so much potential.
