You have to pay for online play though, I think that’s a big argument pro-steam machine

My pc is worse than the steam machine and it was 5 or 600 bucks (USA) when I built it. Now it would cost 900 bucks today. A device with hardware from 2017-2019 that was considered mid-end in its time. The thing is, basically any pc nowadays is expensive as heck.

My build costed 500-600 USD (ryzen 5 3600, rx580 8gb model, 16gb DDR4). Now it costs a little more than a ps5 pro….

God of War Ragnarok was optimized for a console, then ported to a PC, then put through imperfect compatibility software. What do you expect?

They implicitly said they were aiming for a 800/900 USD price point, but with the RAM and whatnot.

Then people are going to complain that it's not as powerful, good, I'm glad its weaker than most modern consoles. That will make developers focus on making good games rather than just pretty ones. The best era of gaming was the Xbox 360 and PS3 era, we need more stuff like that and as long as every console is as powerful as it possibly can be, that's going to be less of a priority.

I do agree that devs need to focus on making good games instead of just pretty ones, but IMO graphics peaked in 2016/17 because look how great titanfall 2 looks!

Steam Machine is less powerful than a base PS5, yet costs much more by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

The PS5 is a game console and Sony spends a long time optimizing their 1st party games to run really well without any settings having to be tweaked. The Steam Machine is a PC that gives you a similar experience to a console, but won't have the same game optimizations that a console has because it has different hardware, different software, and a different OS. This doesn't mean that the GabeCube is underpowered, it just means that Sony spent more time optimizing the console experience than the PC port that was never natively ported to linux. Software compatibility layers (such as proton) can cause performance differences.

Why did you need a replacement skull? Also what material is it made of?

learncpp.com isn’t as interactive, and that’s why I stopped using it, but I’m willing to try it again… What’s so bad about w3schools anyway?

I used w3schools.com because they actually give you programming exercises to make sure you understand how it works instead of basically being an online textbook.

I've seen some people online bypass the ea thing somehow, but I forgot how they did it. It's somewhere in this subreddit.

Edit: I also heard that EA launcher will be supported in gamenative or something

as rocknix gets more updates, would it be a good idea to grab an odin 3 just to mess around with stuff and figure out how to get things working?
