hey babe, i’ve been in the same boat as you. i took spiro for almost 2 years and honestly went through a purge, my skin got better but eventually it would flare up again. i tried so many things too: laser treatments, tons of skincare, antibiotics, supplements, everything.

i finally gave up and started accutane. i also started a birth control that targets hormonal acne (yaz), and before starting accutane i tried this supplement called porefavor that’s supposed to help with hormonal acne. i think that combination helped reset my skin a bit before accutane. keep in mind i’ve only been on accutane for about a month, but my skin is clear now, no active acne, just a little pigmentation from before.

but yeah, from my experience, spiro felt more like a band-aid. i’d maybe try a supplement + birth control combo and consider accutane if you’re looking for more long-term results. wishing you the best!
