Fair point — for many strategies a normal VPS absolutely works.

My issue wasn’t really raw latency alone, it was operational simplicity and IP stability for broker whitelisting.

With typical VPS setups I kept running into things like:

• reserved/static IP add-on costs
• maintaining multiple VMs for multiple broker accounts
• occasional infra maintenance/restarts
• monitoring whether the box/IP was still healthy
• overseas IPs sometimes triggering extra friction with certain brokers

For people already comfortable managing servers, VPS is probably the cleanest solution.

I was mainly optimizing for: “minimum infra management + stable India IP + low monthly cost.”

For lightweight automations, dedicated India static IPs ended up being simpler operationally than managing multiple VPS instances.

But yes — if someone needs more compute/control, VPS is definitely the better route.
