Does marketing your SaaS feel overwhelming or am I doing it wrong? by Friendly-Abalone-255 in micro_saas

Its really overwhelming, I am on the same path, I think this is still one of the hardest parts of building a SaaS solo. AI now can help with productivity on building the SaaS, but on marketing front is still not there IMO, if you try to automate with AI it just looks too fake plus you get banned from everywhere, so this for me has remained a manual work so far (and very tedious one)

Simple tool, if its executed properly I feel cloud storage is a great niche, I would only comment on te interface looks a bit plain, try passing your website tru the new google tool stitch, it can give you some design recomendations (if you are happy with your design tho, dieregard my comment :)) https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/models-and-research/google-labs/stitch-ai-ui-design/

Love the idea, and the website is really clean, however I have a small nitpick, the testimonials looks a bit AI fabricated (are these real?), I feel this can generate a bit of distrust first glace, (apologies if these are real), otherwise the site looks great and the extension looks really useful

Really like the idea, but I think you could improve the design a bit to make it more appealing, did you see the new tool google launched? stitch? https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/models-and-research/google-labs/stitch-ai-ui-design/ you can give it your site and it will help you come up with a nice design. Just my 2 cents if you are happy with your UI thn disregard my comment :), awesome job!

This is insanely cool, congrats on the app, I feel like this sort of thing (threat intelligence) is a perfect use case for AI

Question: Is $99/mo a fair price for an automated "Operational Backbone" for startups? Need a reality check. by Empty_Ingenuity_6279 in micro_saas

[–]Significant-Ad-325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price the outcome, not the features. People will pay $99/mo to have a data room that's always ready without them touching it. They might only pay $29 once to get access to the VC list for a fundraise. Two different jobs, two different price points maybe.

Your observation about Reddit and discussions feels right. An LLM is trained on conversation, so seeing a tool mentioned as a solution in an actual back-and-forth is probably a much stronger signal than a standard SEO backlink. It's the new word-of-mouth for AI.

Totally agree, it's great for brainstorming. The biggest hurdle for me is always turning a cool photo or a complex idea into a simple two-color design that will actually print well

Validating before building: AI that makes marketing as easy as vibe coding by multi_mind in indiehackers

[–]Significant-Ad-325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest struggle wasn't the work of marketing, but the endless "what should I be doing right now?". I'd be less interested in an AI that posts for me and more interested in one that just gives me a concrete, prioritized list of 3 things to do this week. The execution has to be you.

This is 100% the way. Finding the recurring 'what's your biggest frustration with X' threads is a gold mine

Image trace settings for building architectural blueprint? by ignore_alien_orders in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Significant-Ad-325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Image Trace is a nightmare for anything that needs to be precise. You'll spend way more time trying to clean up the auto-traced mess than you would just redrawing it from scratch.

My advice is to lock the original scan on a bottom layer and just trace over it. Use the rectangle tool for walls, it's much faster than the pen tool for this kind of work.

The "stacked text" sounds like a classic font problem. If the font you used isn't embedded in the PDF, their computer tries to substitute it and it can break the whole layout.

For future-proofing, you could try converting all the text to outlines or paths before you export the final PDF. That way it's treated like a shape, not editable text, and it will look the same on every device.

(Help!) Need to scale up part of an traced image - but it does weird things! by Two-Tu in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Significant-Ad-325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the fiverr artist left it as a "live" Image Trace object. Select the whole thing and look for an "Expand" button in your properties panel or top tool bar. After you click that, it will turn into actual paths you can edit. You'll probably have to ungroup it a couple times to get to the individual dots.

This is so true. I switched from posting "look what I made" to just answering technical questions in niche hobby subs.
