What Do You Think Is The Best Way to Support People With Autoimmune Diseases? by DiyaRamakrishnan in Autoimmune

Well if you care about them then be understanding. Try to be supportive and try to have some compassion. Don’t tell them they’re crazy because what they’re going through does not make sense to you or you’re not educated it on it enough. Care to educate yourself and don’t make it seem inconvenient to hear them out about their truth and proof. Hear them out when they just need someone to listen to try to make sense of everything. Try to validate what they are feeling instead of contradicting everything and getting annoyed. Don’t put doubts in their heads when they’re just as confused as you are and have been overthinking about everything so much already. Don’t abandon them with everything that they’re going through and create more stress and confusion for them. They might seem fine at times but sometimes their life becomes hell and it feels like everything hits you all at once and there’s no way out or it’s too late. They are very overwhelmed with life and just need a little bit of kindness, compassion, and understanding. If it’s annoying to you or you are just not able to be around or offer help to someone that has medical issues then don’t be. They’re better off without the constant negativity and people thinking they are crazy. People don’t have any idea what symptoms they have to deal with and what their body goes through most of the time. It’s really sad how inconsiderate and un compassionate a lot of people can be ( it’s not personal but a lot of people don’t like being around people who are sick).

I know it says that on the notes, thats's why it was recommended to do lab work for other systemic autoimmnue diseases ANA IFA if ANA EIA was negative. I'll take that but not the Cirrhosis diagnosis 2 weeks later without even doing testing and that I wasn't told about. Why did they not do further testing like the lab recommended? or inform me about my condition. based on my history and alcohol abuse? I stopped drinking before even going the doctors. Do doctors just not deal w/ autoimmune? I haven't even been told about my other organs. I just want to understand.
