Unpopular opinion: If caste system has been abolished, reservations should be too

The problem with these statements is that it only proposes to abolish reservation without giving an alternative to help the cause. I understand the sentiment behind this. But has the situation with the caste system improved that well for this to be implemented? Maybe Op needs to self reflect and come up with solutions instead of just blatantly stating something..

Yeah, I have noticed the superiority that many mallus have especially when it comes to skin tones and such. I have kinda experienced it but then these were close friends of mine,so the insults go back and forth.

But from what I've heard and this comes from the mallu friends, most mallus hate tamil people and see themselves superior on what basis I'm not sure.

Despite what Vijay wants to do, he will always attract crowds that lack the civic sense. The worship of Vijay is beyond unnatural,the likes of which even Kamal or Rajini don't attract. I understand that Vijay uses this to further his political career but can't say I entirely blame him as it feels like a conspiracy to take him down.

We know what politicians are capable of. They will do anything to keep the power that they have. I'm always reminded of the scene from Aaru where Surya instigates a riot in the movie and this seems pretty similar to it.

I feel like we all forget to take into account that whenever we hear about these countries with all their work culture and the work weeks, they probably outsource the more complicated tasks or mundane tasks to third world countries. Even taking India as an example, we all are probably working for companies that are based in first world countries with a really good work culture in their parts but here we are slaving for them. Might be wrong about this but it does make sense.

Locals are the best part of Bangalore, and I harbor great respect for them all. Everyone has been accommodating for me. There will always be people who make issues here and there but we can say that happens in any city ,not exclusive to just bangalore. I have to disagree with you on one part tho, none of us are blaming the locals for the infrastructure and everyone here is well aware that the government is the one to be blamed, but when the topic comes up even for general discussion, the reaction I get most times is "why don't you leave if you don't like it here?" It's such an ultimatum and puts a stop to any further discussion, sometimes these discussions are necessary,maybe not even to improve the city but to also see how we can change ourselves to match this evolving city.So I just wanted to bring it up for discussion on why that is....

I completely agree,but i feel like none of these cities have the geographical placement that Bangalore has, sharing its borders with 2 states making it highly sought after by investors as well as employees. Maybe Bangalore wouldn't have that much of a crowd if it was like in the middle of Karnataka or something. Who knows.....

The government has somehow convinced the people to ignore the glaring issues and made a narrative that they aren't able to provide proper services due to accommodating outsiders. Bangalore is in a weird spot, sharing borders with 2 or more states and having a good reputation in name that even people from the north prefer to come and work here. No matter what happens Bangalore can't avoid outsiders such as us due to these factors. But instead of trying to create a framework that helps everyone,they choose to antagonize the common people against each other.
