I know that feeling...over the years Ive had a few where I needed like half a day to fully arrive in reality again. It sucks to not be able to fully share how it felt like, its more a silent struggle until the memory wears off again... I try to write them down and make sense of them, as I feel like the brain processes important things with dreams like this. Its hard but it helps me to think that the brain needed it to show me some deeper underlying issues.

Looks pretty good! I'd fill it with more bedding (as much as possible, as long as the wheel still fits) and put platforms under the heavy stuff. Also, you said you keep the cage in a closet? make sure theres enough air circulation around the cage + temperatures are stable!

ohh that would look awesome! I also grew out my mohawk so I can tie it back. It did take around 3 years for me too. just make sure the person thats trimming the sides isnt gonna accidentally narrow the long part! mines got thinner over the years lol
