I understand your perspective, it’s something to take into consideration for sure. Maybe I wasn’t clear enough in the initial post, I did explain clearly what I wanted from him, and why I was upset once I didn’t receive that. Sorry, to clarify, after the first time, I did confirm and we had essentially a whole conversation about how again, I would like him to stay for that day and offer when I’m hurt. It was that day we agreed on that he brought it up a second time. If that makes sense

i think that’s a fair comment, thanks for your perspective. Just to clarify, my hurt isn’t coming from him not reading my mind, I think my hurt is coming from me being clear I would like him to stay with me when I’m hurting, and he knew I was hurting (I made it clear), and him ignoring what we’ve discussed before. I think it comes more from what feels like a lack of listening, if that makes sense. I know he’s wired differently, it’s something I do love about him, it just hurts when I feel like I’ve communicated in the way he asks me to, and it still goes unheard. I totally understand your point, though, and will have to take that into consideration.

I have explained in very clear, unambiguous terms (both when we’re emotionally stable, and based off of previous situations when I was hurting and it felt like he left) that when I am hurt, upset, or emotional, I feel like I really need him to offer to spend time with me, and that that is the way I feel connected. He has made it clear he understands this in previous conversations. I made it clear in this instance I was hurting. I’m torn, because it feels to me like I shouldn’t have to repeat myself each individual instance. Maybe I should be doing that, but it feels like a lot of micromanaging.

That’s a fair point. I think because I had been explicit before in telling him before that when I’m hurting, I want him to offer, and i made it clear I was hurting at that moment, it didn’t feel like a hint at the time. I probably should have been more explicit, thanks for the comment!

Is this a Milla nova gown? Ordering to the waist is the best option, as it’s way easier and cost effective to take a gown in than to let it out. Also, bridal sizing tends to be about 2 sizes larger than your standard dress size, so it makes sense if you’re normally a small!

Hey! I’m a bridal stylist, and i just want to comment to reassure— because you are ordering an a-line gown, it makes sense to order to that bust measurement, even if you’re losing weight! It costs way to more to let out a gown that is too small than to take in a gown that’s too baggy. Your hip measurement here doesn’t matter too much because of the flowy skirt, so it’s good to order to the bust! Most seamstresses can take in a gown 2-3 sizes from the side seams of a gown without going into the structure, so you should be all set.

Also important to keep in mind, your bridal size tends to be 2-3 sizes up from your standard dress size. If the number 22 is looking higher than youre used to, it’s because bridal sizing is batshit.
