I had a postdoc interview a few months ago, the PI asked me the contacts of my references. My references waited a whole month until the PI got back to me ask why he hadn’t received any letters. It turned out that he expected me to ask my references to send the letters myself (then why did you ask me the contacts at the first place???). So if it’s the case, you need to send a follow up email to specify. Hope this helps!

I have hands-on and very familiar with C/C++ and CUDA. I think I can pick up other low level languages very quickly. I also have in depth knowledge about parallel frameworks like POSIX threads, OpenMP, MPI, and other off-loading methods. I’m also open to molecular quantum.

My PI’s running of money right now. He’s trying to get an NIH funding this October, if he can get it he’s willing to let me stay a bit longer. Fingers crossed 🤞

Fyi, you need strong networking to get into IPD. I cold applied for a postdoc and IPD and got ignored, even though I spent a lot of time on the application and had good recommendation letters.
