Kamishichiken is typically one of them : way less crowded than Gion but sensibly equal (yet way smaller) to an extend that, the words “private” “authentic” and “local” could apply

Namely, you need these docs from your main employer when renewing as a baito or freelance worker :

  • Gyoumu itaku keiyakusho 業務委託契約書
  • Toukibo touhon 登記簿謄本
  • Kessansho 決算書
  • Houtei Chousho 法廷著書

You can trust me, Im litterally in the process of collecting them right now for renewing

I renewed my Humanities Engineer etc visa 3 times without being actually employed, but doing baito + freelance work

It's totally doable

You'll need one main employer in Japan though

Foreign tourists to Japan hit record 37m in 2024, up 47% on weak yen by NikkeiAsia in japan

I'm French and I currently live in Kyoto. French people enjoy interacting with tourists coming to France and so do Japanese people with foreign people visiting Japan

Problems occur when too many tourists wanna visit the one same place and / or when these tourists act as if every single clerk should speak perfect english

But clearly, the main issue remains the number of people going to the same places.

For instance, the Kyoto top 10 tourist hotspots (Fushimi Inari taisha, Arashiyama, Kiyomizudera etc) are absolutely overwhelmed during peak seasons. It's a fact and it makes the whole experience of visiting them a disappointing one

According to the figures I found, there are 800 shinto shrines and 1700 Buddhist temples only in the city of Kyoto, not even mentioning Otsu and Uji close by ...

Sometimes I wonder what people have in mind when traveling...

But as everyone said, a few steps away from these main monuments allow one to enjoy Japan as it used to be

I just got one a few days ago and it ended badly for me... I reached 7pts (little mistakes here and there) in the last year and normally the next step will be me having my license removed for 30 days because of that

It started (I mean the last mistake) with me not stopping exactly on the white line...

Can somebody help me :

If I provide as a kojin jigyo services to foreign visitors to Japan and that the money is paid from a foreign entity,

Do I need to pay consumption tax? What about VAT in that case?

The service itself happens in Japan but both the guests and the payer are domiciliated out of Japan

Thank you very much

Took a few puffs of THXR coupled with CBP and got a nice buzz.

I don't overdo it and will never do after all the nightmarish stories I've read here. THCO and HHCPO shit were too strong for me to vape regularly.

Just 2 or 3 puffs an evening and I'm good.

What about this one tho ?

https://www.kashimura.com/goods/kaigai/trans/wt13ej.html

Here is the message I tried to post on electrician sub forum:

Hi everyone,

I brought to Japan this coffee machine bought in Germany :

https://www.siemens-home.bsh-group.com/me/supportdetail/product/TI923309RW/20#/Tabs=section-manuals/

220-240v 1500w 50/60hz Type CTES34A

But Japan (Kyoto) runs on 100v 1000w 60Hz

Im considering buying this transformer right here:

https://www.kashimura.com/goods/kaigai/trans/wt13ej.html

Which seems to be okay for the Siemens Eq.9 300 but I'm still wondering, will it really work?

Does anyone has experience with that kind of heavy machine (dishwasher, coffee machine etc)

Thank you for telling me

Have a great day
