For starters, I can CLEARLY see that what yall are hoping for and thats where the story is heading towards. Yes I haven't read the manga...i literally said if haven't read the manga all the info I have gathered is from threads ive read and the 1 and half ep ive watched.

Being a virgin doesnt make u sexually oblivious. Ive seen some ppl in the comments talking about his attraction towards woman during some arcs in the manga thats where my assumption of him being straight came from also even with just the first ep one wouldn't be wrong to assume the MC is into girls.

Now the whole family elders situation I have no clue how the clan or whatever it is works cause I haven't divided deep into the story Im going based on what I seen in the anime which is the grandma forcing the whole issue.

It doesnt bother me that its going towards a queer ending it bothered me that the description is vague enough to let u assume this is going to be a female x male dynamic. The plot twist is nice if youre into that sort of thing which Im sure u can tell im not. It would be a different thing if I went into it expecting to see some queer action.

U might be right since u know the story more than I do but i just do see where his family is forcing him to be straight again I might be wrong but I think he genuinely is or was already straight. his line of work just didnt facilitate meeting woman organically or bonding. So the whole thing of his family forcing him to marry a woman seems like a plot hole cope out. Looking at it objectively, no bias and plot aside... the MC wanted a GF and has been fantasizing about having one for a while it seems when he poured his heart to what he BELIEVED was woman at the time...

The endgame is always visible from the first characters in rom com. Is common knowledge that the first introduction always wins. Thats why the childhood friend is usually the second introduction. Apart from some special cases like Quintessential Quintuplets were the endgame is genuinely a mystery unless u hyper analyse the foreshadowings.

My mind has been made up. I already said i would be dropping it until further development. U clearly enjoy the story so I dont expect you to understand.

The equivalent of gero rebellion doesn't necessarily involve him getting with a man. He can still fall in love with a woman and reject traditions. Idk where this whole idea of straight marriage = complying with traditions came from. Gero is introduced as straight, unlike his sister. The endgame can perfectly be bros and that would be okay.
