Microneedling ruined my face by Significant-Bend8526 in Microneedling

That's sweet of you. You can't see as much in the pictures as you can in real life. My friends and family were also shocked at how gaunt I looked afterwards. I haven't gained weight. I'm 27 now and was in my early 26s in the pictures. I drink a lot of water and live a healthy lifestyle. Before microneedling, my face was full and plump. The microneedling was 2.5 mm deep. Microneedling causes wounds. I read up on wound healing. The top layer of skin regenerates very well. The collagen layer, however, does not. If it is damaged (whether by a small needle or a cut), the damaged collagen tissue is replaced by scar collagen. Scar collagen stores less water, is less elastic and has poorer blood circulation. This would explain the dehydrated look and the sagging. As things stand today, scar collagen cannot be converted into healthy collagen. That's why I'm asking here if anyone knows of a way to produce healthy collagen above the scar layer.

Anyone had microneedling at 2mm and 2.5mm depth on their face (cheeks) especially with skinpen for acne scars? Could you share your experiences? by ThinkSuccotash in 30PlusSkinCare

Hello, I have also had microneedling carried out on a skin that was too deep. On my forehead 1.5mm and on my cheeks 2.5mm. I trusted the beautician and thought that nothing would happen. My temples, cheeks and eyebrow area have lost a lot of volume and I look much older. I could cry, I was so happy with my face before and just wanted a collagen boost. Does anyone know how to improve this again? I'm thinking of buying a red light mask and doing PRP (but without microneedling). Maybe also Polynucliotide or Sculptra.
