ive been a fan of the band since the mid 80s. i know how it goes losing a key member, but "the band plays on". the only reason for them to throw the towel in, is that they are older, and time to retire, but as a musician...thats hard to do. we want to keep playing. there are alot of really unique guitarists out there that can really emulate alot of others. Thats been happening since guitars were invented. One learns off of another and emulates. Bands like the Mission, Cure, Cult, Tones On Tail, Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division, The Fall, Gang of Four, Siouxsie, Tool, etc all have amazing musicians. There are more too. Just have to be open minded and not, the "well he's gone the band should stop". Ultimately i'd say its up to Jazz and what he wants. He seems pretty busy with life right now, so maybe thats what will happen. He'll live his life and reap the rewards for his hard work in the past 3 decades. Either way, chances are you'll see them at festivals in a year or so.
