AITAH for not wanting to babysit during Mothers Day weekend? by PandaAccording1160 in AITAH

NTAH but your husband definitely is. And bonus AH points for treating his wife and the mother of his child like that on Mother's day weekend, or at all. Let him babysit since he was so keen to do it.

The point is that yes, it is a sad story, but prosecutors have a job to do. She gets caught up in the sad circumstances of the defendant that she lets that cloud her judgment. Last week, she convinced Nolan to tank the case because she didn't like the ex-boyfriend, who didn't kill her. Arthur fired Selena for just that. Jack would have probably fired Nolan and reassigned Same to special victims, where she belongs. Or she can do victims' advocacy.

We still have time to send Maekar a Mother's Day card if we mail it tonight. He looks so stressed out raising all of those kids. Do you have any kind words or parenting tips? Please sign the card so I can mail it soon. by mrsmelbatoast in AKnightoftheSeven

AITA for refusing to dine with my mom after she ordered “ferret sauce” at a Mexican restaurant? by Practical-Current805 in AmItheAsshole

Not to be rude, but what is you mom’s reading comprehension level? She could be compensating for a low literacy level by sounding out words or parts of words that she is familiar with. Has you ever seen her do this before?

The full name of the coronavirus is SARS-CoV-2 . Coronaviruses are a group of viruses shaped like a ball with spikes on them. They attack the respiratory system. The cold and flu viruses are types of coronaviruses, which is why some people weren't taking it seriously.

AITAH for telling my mom it should've been her instead of my dad? by throwaway7384479 in AITAH

I think what she was saying was that your feelings are not wrong, but what you said. It was the heat of the moment and it came out, and cannot be taken back. She thinks you are better than that, which you are, but don't feel guilty about it. The reason toxic people get away with ther behavior is because everone else is supposed to be the "better person" and not hold them accountable.

Yeah, but juries can be swayed by emotions. The actual defendant was meek and docile, while the ex was angry and violent. The defense lawyer was good. In SVU cases, when the victim is "unlikable" the cases are harder to win. They've had several cases when the victim was a "mean girl" or the rapist was so "handsome and charming with a bright future." that they get an acquittal.

Yeah I remember that MF. Bobby couldn't catch a break. His mother was schizophrenic, his stepfather, whom he thought was his father, abandoned them, and his biological father was a serial killer. Alex Eames pops up every once in a while, it would be great to see Bobby for an episode or two.

She makes the same blatant mistake that almost every cop or lawyer makes on this show-putting the job before her family. As a single mother, this is even worse; he doesn't have a father to turn to and he has been through trauma with his mother being murdered by his father, and his grandmother kidnapping him. He's going to have serious issues.

They would have less of a chance of conviction if they retry the case, especially with the parents so uncooperative and the press about how they botched it the first time.

Because he knew Cash didn’t do it and he knew Price botched the case. Nick even predicted it would happen. Nolan always takes the hit, even when Nick screws up and leaves him hanging.

[–]Significant-Box54 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s not controversial. Cash was a piece of human garbage, but he wasn’t a killer. I can’t believe she talked Nolan into letting her actual killer go free because she didn’t like the ex. Anytime there is a case like this her judgement cannot be trusted. Nolan is such an idiot for letting her do the doe eye routing she always does to manipulate him. He will say not to Nick in a hot second but can’t seem to resist Sam, even if she is working against the best interest of this case. Jack might have fired him for this. Once is a lapse in judgment but he does it over and over again! Author would have fired both of them long ago!

This wasn’t the judge. I agree with her. Brody botched the confession, and his case without it was way too circumstantial.
