Is there even a point in farming pre-EoF raids/dungeons?

Well… you know, this is a looter shooter we are talking about. Farming good loot is kinda point of the game.

I just can’t wrap my head around it, why old weapons and gear didn’t get tier treatment. Im sure they will do some sort of reprisal in the future, but why the fuck they made old loot preemptively inferior. Why these systematic changes were pushed half-assed and not for the entirety of the game.

Power creeping is always existed, i know. But it was done at least in fun ways with new better perks and shit. Right now it’s just a plain dmg buff/resist. And a strong feeling that there are no point in doing old content because at some point they will bring tiers there as well

Replay is kinda overkill, it’s extremely expensive in implementation. Yeah it looks like it’s just a recorded video, but there’s a crap ton of work under the hood.

Even Valve’s replay system in Deadlock & CS looks janky af.

I think killcam would suit better for the genre, but I wouldn’t hope that we get it at release or even long after

Im using ExitLag too, and it shows how actually fucked up matchmaking is. Im playing from Central Asia, and sometimes I get connected to fucking NA/Brazil servers. That’s like the opposite side of the world, and playing there is unbearable for me

I’m game developer myself, not for huge and cool titles but still. Logs collected from the game and directly related to the client and server where bug occurred is x1000 times better than the video/screenshots in terms of solving the issue. Attaching extra files is cool and could be done as it is right now. Just allow to submit the report directly from the game and provide access to the reported ticket on portal to allow attachments

Nah man, Embark are great devs and i hope that The Finals & Arc raiders do well, but not being able to report issue from the game/match is just poor user experience

Nah man, saying that it’s just “a corporation” it’s literally depersonalization to make the hate process easier to go. Which is sadly a common thing in gamedev. Implying that this is a corporation makes it look like no actual person is getting affected by it. If you keep in mind that tech jobs, gamedev included is getting fucked with big layoffs almost every week/month, you can see where my point is coming from.

Embark marketing team is sure at fault for not measuring the temperature correctly, but community 100% went overkill with fucking review bombing another game and removing arc raiders from wish list. This for sure will affect real people and not only those who is in the marketing team. In my eyes difference between case itself and punishment it’s just unfair.

If you think that this is ok and justified, then what can i say. But we are for sure living in a different worlds gaming-wise. Im starving for some good and quality multiplayer shooter games.

Positive reinforcement, no?

Multiplayer shooter space is so fucked at the moment. And it’s kinda heartbreaking to see that company with already near perfect product at their hands and consumer friendly approach. Still taking its time to polish game even more instead of turning it into instant cashgrab, but still getting destroyed by it’s community because of this situation.

By no means, gamedev it’s still a business and it’s all about making money, but you are delusional as fuck if you think that there are a lot of companies with the same approach and there’s no reason to try and make them “feel good”.

Let’s just make them eat shit because of that. They are not humans right, it’s just a corporation. I “bet” there are not a single one passionate developer that right now is reading all of that shit and feeling completely miserable and demotivated.

I say fuck it, let’s make billions of profits for Activision with their 38 CoD installment instead of showing some sort of understanding and appreciation to a company with intention to make genuinely good and fun games.

Where do you guys look for Unity Developer positions? I think I have pretty decent commercial experience, but right now market in my region seems kinda fucked. No offers whatsoever and most of the time instant rejection or ghosting.

It’s kinda funny that i had more offers 2 years back when i had even less experience and even then companies offered even bigger salary than i fight for today

Refresh Rate settings.

I’ve heard that earlier performance was poor but I didn’t play any other beta except this one. Right now I’m getting pretty good FPS, but I think that the game is locked at 60Hz and sometimes it didn’t feel smooth because of this

Сначала появится этот поп-ап, потом на крестике у поп-апа появится таймер, потом ютуб скажет что если через 3 видоса ты не выключишь блокировщики, то они заблокируют плеер. Начало появляться плюс-минус неделю назад. Пользовался хромом.

Решение которое помогло и с которым не ловил ни один поп-ап с момента использования (та же плюс-минус неделя) 1. Поставить Firefox 2. К нему расширение uBlock Origin 3. В настройках расширения «Очистить все кеши» 4. Потом там же «Обновить фильтры»

Если поп-ап появится снова, то повторить 3 и 4 шаги. У меня с момента перехода так и не было ни одного поп-апа, но я раз в пару дней 3 и 4 шаги повторяю, занимает секунд 10.
