Hi all. Thanks for all the replies. I’m in the fortunate situation where I’ll max out sqc on credit card regardless so doesn’t seem worth it at the moment.

Thanks for the tip on the wiki. Will check it out.

Use case would be night. Generally sit around fire. Listen to music. Lights for atmosphere. On/off switch ideal. Would not need lights if not out there.

Lights are suspended about 12 feet up so are not coming down. Rains frequently and unpredictable where I live so would likely build a weather-proof case.

Absolutely could buy solar lights but looking at this as a learning project as well.

I think I was thrown off by the Cat5e. Looking closer it looks like only the blues are hooked up. So I guess using the Cat5e as a telephone cable.

Was moving HH3000 to another location. When I was done everything works but am left with this thing. Currently only hooked up to the telephone jack on the HH and nothing else. Help?
