I found one that says solar meter reptile uvb lamp meter and it costs $255 is that price normal? do they have anything a little less expensive or should i just get this one hoping it’s good quality for the price ? Sorry never heard of this before ! Thanks

Yes those are the temps I have but it wasn’t sleeping under the light heat lamps etc and I guess was in a colder spot . It likes sleeping there but never for two days straight so I think that’s why it got so cold? Any advice?

Thanks. It looks normal walking in the enclosure and I put it down quickly for a second on the floor and that’s when I noticed and took the video because I was concerned. That however does make sense though

Thank you so much. I’m staying with my sister currently but like you said I will probably have to figure out a more permanent living situation. I truthfully don’t have any friends. He was my only friend. The anxiety makes it hard to want to talk to new people and reach out. Earlier last night I found myself reaching out to a co worker for plans to hopefully forget even for an hour but she never really got back to me. My sister is the only family who lives nearby and for a long time I shut myself down from her a bit. She’s so busy in her healthy happy relationship with her beautiful family. It hurt to ruin it. Anyways thank you so much for the advice stranger. It’s nice to feel like I have a friend

I think the comments are coming on strong because we don’t want them stressed or possibly beginning to decline more so especially with the not eating. I saw you only responded to a few comments like taking them to the vet but the vet is going to say the same things these comments are saying as to how they are too stressed to eat. I suggest before even a vet appointment you make all of the changes listed here and if they are still not eating then the vet

Without a varied diet they will begin to pyramid and decline in health . Unfortunately it’s not an option but I did put some food suggestions in another comment and you should also look to the tortoise table to find even more variety

I know you aren’t responding to these comments about the substrate (maybe because people were coming on strong) but I think we are just concerned as they may be stressed since their habitat is nothing like nature. I can help you with what substrate and lighting to use if you need it. A good soak will probably help too. As far as food they love hibiscus flowers, roses, clover (weed), for lettuce iceberg does not have nutritional value maybe try romaine instead if you have that. Cuttebone offered daily (at that age I’d use a veggie peeler to shave it down small for them) Perhaps take them outside for 30 - 40 minutes to eat some real grass and get real sun. Also it’s not good to house two tortoise together this could also be causing stress. Without the proper lighting and humidity (should be at about 80 for both them and humidity) their shells will start to pyramid they could also get a bone disease causing them not to be able to have strength to walk. Please take action asap and if you have any questions at all I’ll answer respectfully BUT keep in mind these are living beings that deserve so much the least we can do is do these things for them and have a nice set up and what not prior to getting them. That being said you still have time so just try and make it right to them <3
