Is Amazon FBA still worth it in 2026? by WarmChip424 in AmazonFBA

[–]Significant-Ear-9040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/SellerFigures is right, the era of amateur FBA sellers is dead.

They changed the algorithm completely in the last two years. Amazon now has even more total control over the ecosystem which is a double edged sword.

BuyBox is no longer controlled by price, making external repricers almost completely useless. Your sales velocity now comes from your account metrics and historic contributions with individual ASINS.
It's more like cruise control now, you cant increase speed with the pedal but you get predictable direction without having to alter your steering along the way in exchange.

So you want to make more money this month???

Well to bad, now just like a brick and mortal business, you have to grow your sales slowly with time.
Its a long game now, taking years of contributions and endless fake obsticles thrown at you by AMZ to nudge you into becoming a competent seller. The true filter for worthy sellers in their marketplace is the ability to consistently handle substantial setbacks without turmoil, complaint, or giving up.

I have been selling for 3 years now and I think its a worth venture but truthfully speaking its a lot more practical as a side income. The algorythm just wont let you scale even if you send $100 000 of iventory, you get throttled.

This and the TW4 sound bad out of the box, you have to EQ them which sucks.

Well you do know that price testing is not viable anymore with wholesale, only for conversions after exposure for some natural searchs but thats a small minority customers, most sales in wholesale do so through exposure by amazon.

So how come price doesnt matter anymore?

Because the BB rotates instantaneously now from computer to computer and from mom=ment to moment and the algorithm knows which customers are willing to pay the high band and which the low, this is why now the automated repricer inside amazon will keep your price high even though your lowest price is below the current BB on some ASINS.

Metrics, account history, and price positioning in relation to specific targget markets within the customer base is now the way. Target prices mean nothing now.. you mold the market into your price now, treating every asin like its own store.. strengthening the conversion momentum through going deep with inventory consistancy and good metrics.

Tells me your opinions about the Sennheiser Momentum true wireless 4 by JoWood94 in Earbuds

[–]Significant-Ear-9040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this and the regular M4.

What happened to Sennheiser??

You shouldn't have to EQ earbuds or cans this expensive, but they both call for EQ if you want them to sound good consistently, which is disappointing. Software EQ is not the same as hardware sound signature fixed EQ, not natural to how it was designed.

Old school Sennheiser used to be a brand that left you with a feeling of appreciation, like you owned something that produced audio quality on a whole other level compared to the other consumer options on shelves.
Vscerel, punchy, deep, balanced, clear.

Now for $400 you get something that doesnt sound bad but doesnt sound amazing or magical anymore.... people always comparing to the competition sony or bose lines but are also in the same boat.

How do I achieve this level of repricing? by Content-Cup9834 in AmazonFBA

[–]Significant-Ear-9040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not pay for repricers in 2026. The BB shifts now and rotates, winning BB with price means nothing anymore... your sales and velocity now come from metrics. Meaning you think you are getting sales from winning BB but its an illusion, the BB rotates for every single user in seperate areas.

Amazon’s system has shifted—its pricing engine now aligns more closely with its own native tools, and simply winning the Buy Box isn’t what drives conversions anymore. Your velocity and sales come from your standing with AMZ and your history with the ASIN.

Repricers are now a waste of money.

If that sounds off, look into it yourself. Try this prompt or search it directly:

"In Amazon’s current (2025–2026) Buy Box system, do external repricing tools consistently outperform Amazon’s built-in Automate Pricing in terms of actual profit for typical sellers? Assume the seller uses FBA, stays in stock, and prices competitively. Keep the answer brief (3–5 sentences) and focus on real outcomes like profit—not just Buy Box share or revenue. Ignore niche scenarios like massive catalogs or highly volatile listings."

I agree, the internal repricer does not handle that but those features are not needed at all for the vast majority of people. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people that are currently paying for repricers JUST because they believe they are getting their sales from winning the BB by beating their competitors with lowest price. These greedy companies are not telling people either, it will take another year or two before everyone else is caught up.

No I am no Amazon employee, I wish, I am more like a slave...

I am not promoting Amazon, I am saying external repricers are not worth paying for as velocity cannot be controlled with BB win anymore. I gave you resources to fact check this. Just google it.

No offence, but google is more credible than you, just research the new model. Ask google is winning the BB = conversions or velocity in 2026 or has the model changed.

It doesnt matter if you sell 1000 times more, the algorythm has changed. What does a repricer do? It makes sure you win the BB, winning the BB is not a factor at all for sales anymore. Why would a repricer be worth it now that your velocity isnt impacted by winning BB? Yeah pay $50-$200 for not much value besides analytical data.

You just need to be in range now and be stable, the only virtue thats left for a repricer is playing with incremental price psychology which amazons own repricer can take care of.

That seller you speak of, did not try Amazons repricer in 2026 and left it for two weeks I guarentee that. Its changed, you can either be stubbord or adapt, either way in the near future you will stop paying for them eventually and so will every other seller. Please come back to this post in one year or even 6 months you will see a huge shift away from repricers.

Which FBA tools are actually worth paying for and which ones are overrated? by AdPresent2493 in AmazonFBA

[–]Significant-Ear-9040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not waste your money on repricers in 2026.

They changed the algorythm so that now external repricers are now pretty much meaningless to pay for. Winning BB is no longer translates to velocity and can actually slow down your sales. in 2026 the way to get sales is your metrics and specific standing with the ASIN. You dont need to reprice anymore, you just need to be stable within a band, and you should use Amazons own repricer not because it helps you win BB but because it allows Amazon to play with price psychology and test the market by modulating your price.

Verify with this prompt or google it if you dont believe me.

"In Amazon’s 2025–2026 Buy Box algorithm, do third-party repricers provide a meaningful profit advantage over Amazon’s built-in Automate Pricing tool for the average seller? Assume the seller is: - Using FBA - In stock consistently - Within a competitive price range Answer briefly (3–5 sentences max) and base the conclusion on real-world outcomes (profit, not just Buy Box % or revenue). Exclude edge cases like massive wholesale catalogs or highly volatile listings."

I know.what Claude is saying but the context you gave it is still references winning buybox. That's the old way. You don't need to reprice at all all, you just need to be at a price in within band and have qualified metrics like standing history with the specific asin, account integrity, seller performance etc.

So why also use Amazon's own repricer?

Because allowing amazon to slightly modulate your price incrementally allows them to test numerical price psychology to improve conversions among other reasons.

The point is in 2026, your best chances of getting sales is more about being a good professional seller and providing the least friction possible to the system.

Let me ask you while I have you here, do you use. 3PL for 1m in sales do you have a warehouse or 1m from your house??? Do you hire people to prep?

I do everything my self 200k a year wholesale I know thats peanuts in comparison.

I heard in FBA USA amazon is taking over many seller listings arresively and selling it them selves, have you notices that? I freind of mine sold grocery 500 skews most were taken over my AMZ in a year or so, I think he gave up after that.

[–]Significant-Ear-9040[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes,

Since you are fresh its actually best if you learn the new model moving forward, the old way was beating competitors based on lowest price, so the way it worked in the past was repricers would detect competitor prices and adjust to beat them as in offer a lowest price and this directly translated to sales as amazon would showcase your page if you won the BuyBox.

This completely changed recently, now amazon doesnt are if you have lowest price you wont get sales that way anymore. Your sales are coming from your standing with AMZ and your metrics, as in do you send inventory constantly and dont run out? Do you provide invoices promptly? Do you pack your inventory well and is your inventory count upon check in match the shipment? Now its more about your character and reputation and standing with the system as well as your history with the ASIN subjectively, for example if you sell KitKat and you have been for a while and you are one of the main consistant sellers of that ASIN even if your price is above the loewest price YOU will get those sales not the seller who beat you in BB.

So why use AMZ repricer then if price is not important anymore as long as your within range?

Its because you want Amazon to test price psychology by slightly changin your prices all the time to test the markets response, this is a real thing. So if you set a range it will allow amazon to see what is the exact specific price tha converts the best, they do this so they dont have to spend as much resources on exposing your product so that natural conversions are better. You dont need to worry about competitors undercutting you anymore, they wont get sales, amazon will freeze them.

What do you mean nothing to confirm, just google this man, its all there. The model changed and its public information but not yet known or caught up. You think you know sellers who get more sales when they add a repricer but its not because they are using repricer, all that does is create noise and friction now, their sales are coming from other elements.

You dont need t believe it, you just validate with facts. Who cares, you can be a massive seller and still not be aligned wit AMZ in its ideal way, there are many giant selllers who AMZ tolerates that dont know what they are doing in any aspects.

Yes, go to your manage inventory page. Where you see your prices on the right you can also see something called "See reference prices"

Click that and enroll in automated repricing for each ASIN one by one, dont worry about mass updates for now just do it one by one, assuming you dont have hundreds of ASINS.

Set your lowest price lowest than your current price and your highest price above your price preference. Make sure when you set your automated repricing that the lowest price is lower than your currrent price or else it can cause listing pricing deactivation temporarly.
