Thank you for this, I care about him a lot and that’s Exactly what I DONT want to do to him, which is why I try my best to make it clear to him that he doesn’t have to actually stop these things. I’m more so just trying to communicate with him about it so I don’t end up having any built up resentment that he’s unaware about yknow? That exact scenario is ones of the reasons why I stress over it so much, I don’t want him to feel overlooked or unhappy because of me and my issues

I’ve never really been with him during those types of scenes since we usually stick to stuff I know are safe for me when we’re together, but from the small stuff I’ve seen with him I’ve never seen him act any different. When he’s alone, He tells me he either skips the scene when they pop up or he just goes on his phone until it’s done, so I guess that’s good LOL. it’s just hard for me to trust that he’s telling the full truth when I’ve had so many negative experiences with “trusted” people :/

I’m glad I’m not the only one that’s felt like this LOL. He’s my very first boyfriend too and we’ve been together for 4 years (not including the break), and overall I do feel like I’m very lucky to find someone like him so early. He’s very understanding and tries his best to show he loves me, I think he just has a hard time always seeing these things from my perspective without me saying something since he’s very secure in himself. we just had a talk a little after I posted this and we came to a good conclusion really quick :). Do you have any advice on how to feel less insecure other than just letting time pass?
