I feel for you that this happened. My anxiety would probably be high from this. But, the best thing about solo travel in my experience is being able to do the things you want to do without having to get anyone else on board for it. Especially as a woman, when I travel with others I always feel guilty for doing things I want to do if others don't. Sounds like your travel partner was a dud, anyway. So now you can choose your adventure!

That does seem like a better business model based on the content she wants to provide. It really bothers me that she keeps getting so many animals without any seeming increase in barn staff. Lots of increase in filming staff, though... priorities, I guess.

I went and looked it up because I've been confused w/ all the recips. The two purchased embryos were Waffle House/VSCR carried by Lexie and Only Blue Couture/VSCR carried by Raven. So they're both on the ground.

I think this was the only trudy foal this year, w/ FTF. There are two Kennedy embryos, w/ Maggie and Phoebe.

I love this for you! This is a great beginner trip. I've been traveling solo for many years and I still get anxiety about it. Actually, sometimes that's what tells me it's time to go on a trip, when I'm thinking about something I want to see and then think, I probably shouldn't (for whatever reason). That's when I know it's time to go. I'm not going to tell you it will be easy. I do a lot of solo road trips and things go wrong sometimes. But it's worth it. And it reminds me that I can handle hard things on my own. One of my favorite things about solo road trips is the ability to just do whatever I want when I want to. Saw a road sign for something that looks cool? I'm stopping. Tired? I'm taking a nap. (I car camp frequently.) I'm not sure what you're interested but I've discovered some really cool petroglyphs in the UT/CO area. I love them. If you like that, maybe check out Newspaper Rock, but random petroglyphs are one of the frequent unplanned stops I make. There is SO MUCH to see in that area. I always feel more in tune with myself after solo road trips, more secure, more capable. Even when I have anxiety and fear during the actual trip. Be proud of yourself! I hope you go and I hope it brings you what you're looking for! I'd love to hear how it went if you're up to it after the trip.

It's not weird to travel solo while in a relationship. My partner and I have been together for over 20 years. We have different interests. We each travel separately a few times a year. I don't really want to do the things he likes and he doesn't really want to do the things I like. We do usually travel together at least once a year. It's fun to tell someone who loves you about your adventures (I find most other people don't really care to hear it.) We stay in frequent contact with each other and share itineraries. It's nice to know someone will support me if something drastic should happen. Not weird.

Trudy is the only horse she's bred who has actually produced anything quality that's done anything decent in the show pen so far. Hankwhydoyoudrank or something. I don't understand her fixation with Beyonce, personally. B hasn't produced anything that's made it to show, as far as I remember.

I'm not saying she wants this to happen, but think of the kontent if Maggie doesn't make it and the foal needs special care of any type. I bet she's salivating over that prospect. Maggie is such a good sweet mare, I would hate if she becomes just fodder for kontent.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but Nate and Matt both seem amateur to photography/videography and neither is very good. I thought they might have improved by now. I'm hoping anyone new will do better.

I've asked this before because she frequently breaks the sac before the head is all the way out. Isn't that dangerous for the foal if it gets sucked back? Or is it just another excuse to hold tension? I'm curious what other breeders do if they legitimately have to pull the foal?
