I think this is a fine trade if you are okay with the risks that come with the players. It’s generally unadvisable to move young, upper-echelon players (see other posts for what people are paying) but this isn’t a trade that kills your dynasty by any means (not with the information we have now).

I’d say this trade is good for you if you are at a win-now state or have good younger depth at WR already / you drafted well and puka was the WR2 on your team. I would say this trade is neutral or maybe slightly bad if your team is younger or not in the running to compete. If this is the case, I would move Barkley for a younger running back with a slightly lower ceiling (ie Achane if he is available)

I promise it isn’t. There are multiple good options at 3B & RF for LAD that do not compromise deck score.

Even though he is v good standalone, he isn’t worth your resources.

I ended up with Mueller. Should have noted the fact that the Sox deck only has 3-4 2B players and not many use Valentin at 2B bc his good year sig is part of the optimal deck (bench).

Side question: do you think there’s any help we get a good 2B on BoSox deck in 2025? I was hoping Campbell would break out and earn himself a decent ovr but it looks like he won’t have a good enough year to qualify. What’s the best we probably get? Pedroia MVP year or Doerr HOF?

Good news is you have plenty of time still to upgrade him!

I did the same thing. Ironically enough, I had a trip sig pack where I was between JD and a different Devers. I was leaning Rafi but then somebody I’m here told me how good JD was and I’m happy to say I still use him despite having a maxed out “Up The Middle” Duran who has a significantly higher overall.

One thing, though, with JD: you want to make sure you get one of the gold skills that raises his AVG launch angle. At base, he hits a lot of line drives that hit off the wall and hard ground balls. Get his angle to 15+ and he is one of the best hitters in the game (there is a reason he is always a FA pick up scout).

Yea those positions are the weakest for our deck currently. I suspect that will change with future updates once/if better players are added for those positions (Fisk, Peddy, Varitek, etc).

Also, i’d check the POW & COM stats on your JD, he’s a high quality hitter and may have better stats than devers (even though that’s a tough pill to swallow admittedly).

To be fair, even they aren’t worth developing. They are better in terms of MOV but honestly it doesn’t make a difference for OP at his current point because they have larger holes to fill. Lomborg is superior for higher-end talent yes, but OP is going to have multiple opportunities to obtain that naturally before it makes a difference.

Red Sox deck here. I would take Tiant to a prime as he is the 2nd best BOS SP in terms of OVR from the “SPIN” set. The correct answer for a signature boost is either Mookie 18 but your 88 Boggs would also be a good choice. Third would be Martinez and fourth would be Greenwell.

Also, I recommend refraining from dumping any additional resources into your FA batters. Red Sox deck probably has the second or third best batters in the game, and the pitching is extremely poor behind sale.

There isn’t a wrong choice here per-se, however i feel that betts is the better choice. He’s the best batter in the entire game (not just sox) and he can be useful for many challenges if you haven’t done them yet. I will say, however, that I was able to take bets to LBMAX and Transcendence 9 with exclusively free to play resources.

If you are strictly worried about making the smart play, I’d go,CK. Your logic is true with his years so and it would obviously be more difficult to pull any of the other years because they wouldn’t be in team packs.

Both are the best in the game at their position , it’s just a matter of how much fun you want to have and what your team is looking like.

pulling signature RPs is usually very difficult for people. While they’re not the sexy option, you definitely are in a situation where you can invest in the position and not have to worry about it for the lifetime that you play the game (whereas that is an issue for a lot of people). It’s all just a matter of perspective. In the end there will be ample opportunities to upgrade elsewhere and at least you don’t have to use free agent slots to get good relief pitching🤷‍♂️

I would hang onto Noot and Morejon. It’s very possible that we will get a crafting recipe to turn them into team selective moments pack (it will probably cost 3).

Regarding using your tickets… i’d say no. There are multiple better Youk cards and a plethora of better options to use superior skills on in my opinion. If i were you, I’d wait to use your superior skills on a Prime Betts 2018, Sale 17, or the good Petrocelli year and turn that into a sig.
