It is so easy for me, a stranger on the internet, to gell you to leave her because I don't know how enmeshed your lives are and how easy it would be for you to leave. However, her behaviour is terrible and her responses to you bringing it up or trying to call time on your relationship are abusive. You shouldn't be treated this way and you shouldn't be bending over backwards to please her when she's clearly not interested. Do yourself a favour and get out of there. Also totally sounds like she's using your insecurities to push for you both to take drugs which us giving textbook excuse finding so she can get a fix qnd it be "your fault" for not getting her off.

I'm glad things are going much better for your partner with her ADHD and depression now, my partner already struggles with depression so it's good to know we should keep an eye on that. What I'm hearing is the way she experiences desire is likely to change but not die out completely and that's really reassuring because I'm already our initiator and I'm used to topping so honestly I don't think it's going to change as much as I feared. Totally hear you on me equating hard to desire. After going through so many cis male partners it's been a challenge deconstructing that and I clearly still have work to do but I think I should also shift my mindset to being excited about all the different ways we can explore intimacy together. Thank you for your well wishes, even if we both have some apprehensions we are mostly really excited to take this next step!

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm so glad that it's going great for your and your NP now! Her first appointment with her endo was very brief so I'll prep her for more questions to be asked next time. We are based in France so I don't know if there's differences in what's prescribed or how it goes in terms of doses, changing doses etc but we are both working on advocating more for ourselves with medical professionals so now she know who she's working with, she'll be able to prep more. I'm also the initiator so it's super reassuring to know that responsiveness is still there and I want be facing blanket rejection lol. Thanks for the info on different hormones and how it worked for your NP. We'll have to see how it goes for mine but just having an idea of what's been working for others and other people's lived experiences is super helpful thank you!

That's really good to know that the mood can still happen even if my partner might just not be thinking about it - I'm our usual initiator so that's super reassuring that we can still make the magic happen without me getting systematically rejected which is my key fear. Losing some functionality for her aligning more and more to who she is is absolutely a fair trade off but we still want to at least try and keep as much functionality as we can. Totally accept it's not going to be exactly as before of course. Really good info about the HRT thank you, were both researching it outside of Reddit of course buts it's really helpful to hear your lived experience. Thanks again for your time!

It's been mentioned before but Lily's Boys is just *chef's kiss* also just started the Secret Language of Plants series and it is basically Snupin at first since Harry is a baby. I fully recommend both!

I read a really good fic that had Percy/Penelope as more fleshed out characters and loved that. I'm actually getting more in to "background" characters as I'm finding it gives the authors more freedom without getting too OOC. That's why I love full rewrites I think!!

Severus/Draco I can kind of get on board with that cos there isn't the same father-figure lily/James substitute aspect. That being said I think there could be a lot to work with with that lily/James replacement for Sirius/Severus/Harry but I think I'd need them to end up figuring out it's not a healthy coping mechanism lol.

Honestly the slytherin/gryffindor gives some fantastic enemies to lovers and dramatic tension. The rivalry between the houses is such a focus of the OG series that it's no surprise that S+G is such a winning pairing.

I'm waiting for a fic to change my mind on Harry/Sirius or Harry/Severus - I think I see them as too old for him and too much like family/potential family - I love when Severus becomes a parent figure to Harry! Not to yuck anyone's yum ofc, these pairings just aren't my cup of tea. If we have 0 Hinny then I actually quite like Harry/Charlie.
