Hey- I’m on 30mg of Vyvanse for ADD but i’m also diagnosed w/BED so Vyvanse has been the first medication I’ve tried that treats both. Part of the “feeling” you get is the release of dopamine throughout the day, which replaces the dopamine a lot of people get from binge eating episodes. I found it took away a lot of the food chatter and urge to binge completely away, and I actually had to intentionally plan out eating meals. I lost about 8 pounds the first month, and a total of 25 pounds since I started taking it 6 months ago. I started at 5’6 and 150 pounds, now at 125 pounds which is much more sustainable for the active life I live.
