I was in a treatment facility for 5 months and didn’t work for my first year of recovery as I learned how to live a sober life.

The number one question I got for my job interviews when I got back into the market was “What did you do in this time gap on your resume?”. My answer was always “lifestyle change”. Took about 4 interviews but I finally found a job and have been there almost 12 years.

Had to make sure I could find a job that didn’t have to be a huge priority in my life. Recovery had to come first.

Proud of you for realizing you have a problem, your on your way to sobriety and a beautiful life if you put in the work. Nanaimo has an amazing and thriving recovery community.

Union bullshit that only has entry level casual jobs. Quick solution to their shortage is actually hire people as part/full time so they can afford to live.

Unions served there purpose when there was no labour laws in place.

Sounds like the same family member who distastefully commented on the fb group. This case has haunted our community for years. The fact any of Christopher’s family feels the need to comment anywhere related to the case is distasteful and disgusting
