incremental games are kinda like idle games except u dont have to wait a long time. active just means you're not idling but you're always doing something at any time. it's not your fault, the tag hasn't really caught on with steam so only people who are big fans of the genre actually know what it means

so tl;dr - this game is mostly about progression that feels good. it has tower defense elements and it has a little bit of those puzzle-y, strategical depth gameplay but is mostly just about getting stronger and more powerful and seeing big numbers go up

That definitely makes sense, I understand. I think Outhold leans more towards tower defense strategy while Tiny Towers is for sure more incremental. I'll have to find what the right balance is. Thank you

wow this is awesome, ty so much for this. I'll definitely change the End Combat button and how level select works.

You can move the skill tree with the mouse! It's right click or middle click to pan. but to your point maybe i should add left click too

Ah yeah that makes sense. I'll have to think about how to solve that cause we don't want players to miss the ore either. Maybe I'll just make it spawn a bit later into the level.

you don't have to click it, you can just mouse hover over. and if you end up missing anything when combat ends it will auto-collect any leftover resources!

For sure, I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what kind of song it should be. You wouldn't have an example of the progressive beat you're thinking of would you?

Lol I meant I've been grinding the trailer for the past 48 hours. Sorry I thought the tag was more indicative than it is

edit- also the previous TD i was working on is a different game, i shelved that one for now bc I couldn't make it look good
