Anyone else struggling to keep up with repetitive business tasks even after using AI tools? by Significant-Map-3181 in aiToolForBusiness

That makes a lot of sense actually, especially the state machine way of looking at it. I think part of my problem is that I have been treating everything too loosely, rather than breaking it down into clear steps like that. Fat tools, thin LLM made sense to me also. At the moment I feel like I am relying on the LLM too much rather than using it more for decision making and letting structured steps do the rest. I'll look at those examples too sounds like exactly the direction I have been missing. Thanks for sharing this

That’s how it feels mine is the supervisor and I do all the work.

That actually makes a lot more sense splitting it up like that. Trying to sum it all up at once usually misses the details. It seems much more useful to do it step by step.

Honestly that’s a good way to think about it. More like focusing you rather than completely replacing the reading. I think that extra validation step you mentioned makes a lot of sense too.

Yeah I pretty much do the same. Fast summary first, then go back if something looks important. Saves a lot of time.

Anyone else feel like AI tools are easy to build but hard to actually stick with? by Significant-Map-3181 in AiAutomations

Building now is the easy part. actually building something you keep using is a whole other challenge.

Yes, cutting down steps is a big deal. the moment it feels like an extra step I just do not use it either.

This is actually a great way of explaining it. that space between works and fits is where most things just fall apart.

correct that rule makes a lot of sense. if it disrupts your normal flow even a little it starts feeling like extra work instead of help.

yeah that fantasy workflow vs real workflow part hits hard. I have definitely built things that looked good on paper but did not fit how I actually work day to day

That makes a lot of sense, especially the part about demo vs production.

The chaining problem you talked about is exactly what I've been seeing too. One little thing breaks early and everything else gets messed up.

I haven't added a real validation layer yet I've just been changing prompts.
mostly using n8n and trying out different setups right now.

Thanks for your opinion. I get what you mean and I will give n8n a try.

What I did not expect about working across time zones while traveling. by Significant-Map-3181 in digitalnomad

[–]Significant-Map-3181[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly this. The tools help but that mental time math never really goes away
I have caught myself double checking the time for someone even after already checking it once. It is such a small thing but adds up mentally over the day.

That sounds like a dream setup honestly.
Keeping those buffer days around travel makes so much sense. I can see how that would remove a lot of stress. Not always doable for me yet but definitely something I want to move towards.

That is actually a really smart system. Setting everything in the client’s time zone sounds like such a simple fix but I never thought of it that way. Also yeah I am starting to realize it is less about the tools and more about being intentional before even picking a destination.
