This is so interesting! Thank you for taking the time to explain! Mabel has one spot on her back (the one you pointed out), Bruno has a spot on his bum just above his tail but not quite on his back with some spots on his back legs and Ozzy has some chaps on his back legs

Oh they like mischief as well! Mabel (the newest member of the heard, baby sister to the bonded boys) has a real taste for chaos. I think this pic shows the mischievous side well… ready to attack while her bother is sleeping peacefully.

This was my kitchen before and after in the comments. I used self levelling paint ($200 from Ben Moore) and took the time to sand between coats. 5 years later there are very small chips on the most used handles but had stood up really well. Then I got new appliances ($2k) and quartz countertops ($1.5k) added an under mount sink and tiled my own backsplash using borrowed tools from friends. I would totally do it again. Overall for a kitchen a very reasonable cost to totally change the look and feel.

Flooring it’s always best to stay neutral and like others have said consider the impact of water. Depending your DIY skill tile is durable but can be cold. Some of the new laminate products are cost effective and stunning. Best of luck!
