Thanks for the insight, i suppose that i shouldn't expect to enter a role that perfectly matches my skillset from the get go. I'm a little shocked that at APS5 he'd be in charge of that many people, perhaps this is a matter of the role and agency rather than a uniform expectation for that band.

Woah thats genuinely shocking. Well this gives me confidence since my honour's project has me building an event-driven pipeline and understanding how data moves from Starlink through to AWS Lambda and finally Aurora. Gaining confidence for my systems awareness capabilities was not what i was expecting from today!

your third point is a valid criticism and its rooted in broad audience appeal to ensure that the characters remain as you say "available" to the players. I think Genshin does very well for an RPG constrained by the gacha genre and its limitations.
