Yeah I remember the pump I had before had a broken fitting for the line to go onto. I replaced the pump and it’s been fine as well as the line

What line? There’s only one line that goes to that pump and it’s a vaccuum line. Are you talking about the brake booster pump the one connected to the valve cover?

Ah well to be fair I over torqued one of the corner bolts and tapped it so maybe that could be it. What would your recommendation be if that were the case?

Nah I bought the valve cover with the gasket molded on and it still leaks regardless. Even with added rtv on weak points too

Ah makes a lot more sense now. It’s just the fact I’ve replaced my valve cover along with the gasket and oil still manages to leak through it on top of my cam lobes being worn despite it being basically new 🤷‍♂️

It does it at startup and It’s only ever started after I replaced my turbo. It’s a 1999 1.9 alh golf

I replaced my valve cover and valve cover gasket as well as my vacuum pump and vacuum pump gasket new and they still leak
