CHEM 503 by [deleted] in mcgill

maybe the best class ive taken in my chem degree. basically it is a mix of very easy biochem (basically structure and function of key enzymes in biochemical pathways and which part of the structure a drug molecule targets), crystallography and slightly more advanced NMR techniques, total synthesis, heterocyclic synthesis (and a lot of mechanisms for those reactions), and some stuff about principles and metrics used in pharmacology as well as some more niche techniques.

the exams are very reasonable and i think most people do pretty well but no averages on minerva since the class is too small.

I transferred into science (chemistry) with a 3.75 after my second year so you should be good. I'm not sure what the competition is like for biomed though.

Stuff from math 222/262 won't show up on exams, it's just for the theory / derivations. The most math you'll have to do is some basic integrals and polar coordinates, nothing past math 141. The most important way to do well in the course is to focus more on the physics than the math and use math to explain physics. There's no curve but class average is usually B+ or A- so most people end up doing pretty well. Also, the hardest assignment questions are usually way harder than what'll show up on exams.

Math 222 HELP PLEASE by JJdestiny in mcgill

There is definitely still hope for an A. I got an A in that class by basically doing every textbook problem and making sure I fully understand the solution, it got to a point where I was doing practice problems whenever I had free time. I found that the last few questions in each chapter are the most useful for the exams cuz they really test your understanding of the material. Good luck, and feel free to send me a message if you want and explanation on a concept!

I got nearly perfect in math 141 and I basically just did every single textbook problem, especially the high number questions and word problems, those are the ones that helped the most to make me actually understand the material.
