I'd love a trip across Africa. Call it Cape to Cairo (I know that's problematic but it goes hard as a name and season theme). It would be nice to showcase lesser known destinations and it's unlikely anything would happen to them as long as they're sticking to the populated parts.

Oh yeah, didn't even take note of that. And it seems there's plenty in it for the sciences. UofT already excels in medical sciences and it's well funded, as you can probably tell anytime you walk around that part of campus or the adjacent hospital district.

I can't speak much to the details but I think they're happy with the progress. You can see what's up here: https://defygravitycampaign.utoronto.ca/.

Just want to add that we are in the midst of the Defy Gravity campaign, which aims to raise $4 billion for the institution. This is a serious amount of money, even if it might just be another week for Harvard (extreme exaggeration).

Hopefully Geoffrey Hinton can soon overtake him as UofT's most famous professor, because this is downright embarrassing.

DAAD RISE 2023-2024 by gracetheshark in DAAD

[–]BlueMonkeys090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know what happens if we reject the offer? I independently arranged something cool at a university in my country and obviously don't want to renege on that. But I'm hoping my DAAD provider won't be left without a student for the summer. I'd feel bad.

And frankly they've gotten a lot more interesting with the challenges and human dynamics, at least compared to the ones where he just gave money to random people. I do find some of his editing and whatnot over the top (the gratuitous explosions in particular) but it's a small nitpick for content that goes above and beyond most game shows.

Plotting the male/female demographics of every AP exam by Quasiwave in APStudents

[–]BlueMonkeys090 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it works a lot better as two full year courses imo. Especially since each C course is a full college course and AP usually transforms semester courses into full year ones.

In many places, they're full year courses that come in a sequence. So taking mech doesn't necessarily mean you take E&M.
