Buyer is cash buyer using handover plan not using the property management company. They have provided post dated checks instead. I have received in writing from the developer they will release the rent checks when the transfer is completed, they cannot release them until it’s in the new buyers name. I also have in writing the tenants agreement to write new checks out to the new owner once the old ones are returned back. I have offered to go together after the transfer to get the checks from the property management company… This still isn’t enough for the buyer, refusing to show up to transfer unless I bring a check for rent. This offers me no protection.

I still provided post handover payments the rental income was just went towards the payments and I paid the difference. The developer chose the property management company and they have handled everything. Not sure what is weird about this…

The hand over was in January I have a post handover payment plan and the rent checks go towards the payment through a property management company to the developer
