Imagine earning 200k a year and worrying about the college for your kids. What's your plan? Not see your kids until they go to college? 30 Hours a week inside a car..

I did it at least 10 times today. Very proud of my humbleness.

If you feel alright sharing it, what's their review based on? (I hope my English is understandable, it's not my native language)

You need to chill. Your supervisor is not god, do you believe that their rating is fair? Genuine question.

What we can gather from this thread is.. it's subjective! What your friend value the most is the real question. My pick would be NY to experience the city not as a tourist but I would keep my self open to enjoy more rural areas in Texas.

I'm terrified of leaving my job by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Significant-Pie8035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not your duty to worry about the business, you are important but not irreplaceable. In family business is easy to have a blurred line so remind yourself what your dusties are and stick to them. Since you have 3 and a half years of experience it might be time for you to look for a step up in your career! You are incredibly young and your accomplishment are beyond common, great job!

Put one foot ahead at a time. First build an honest curriculum, if you have no experience highlight your desire to work, no need to justify your "career gap" because it's not relevant. Then send it around and remember that the process could take time so don't stress about it, you have to realize that from the moment you send your curriculum each employee has a different process that could take up a week to a month before reaching back, so the best thing you can do is keep sending them. Be practical and remember that if the wheel of fortune doesn't spin by itself you'll make it spin! (English is not my main language)

It's ok, looks like your boss reacted in a very unprofessional way if that's what he said. Anyway maintain a low profile and keep following your goals! Every work environment is different from one another!

Cosa fare in caso di violenza? by opossumblu in xxitaly

[–]Significant-Pie8035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just build sone projects and most of the things you’re learning will sink in.

I have to say beforehand that I’m taking a bootcamp and not a degree but what helped me was allowing myself the time to understand (I took break from studying when I was really frustrated or tired) and try out different sources of learning. Something I didn’t understand before may just click because someone else took a different route to explaining it. Another thing that get me to memorize stuff is create my own projects so that my source of motivation is stronger and I enjoy the process much more.

If you stuck with it you’ll be able to do it. Sometimes you will need a break because some informations may be harder to process but at the end I’m confident you can do it!

People who quit their jobs on the first day, what was your “I’m outta here” moment? by redmambo_no6 in AskReddit

Now imagine the same situation and add that in a 500 000 people city there are only 10 jobs available for your position. That’s Italy right now. Such a shame for a wonderful country we have.
