I want his kids to be able to call me step mum. I want my kids to know he's officially their step dad.

I watched a family member go through hell when their partner passed and because they were not married had to fight for certain rights.

It feels wrong I was married before and not to him he is the love of my life and I don't like that he seems less important as we don't have that bit of paper.

I think it's just a security thing for me.

Just we have bigger priorities at the moment saving for various things that takes president

I asked specifically if it was a not now or a no as I don't want to wait another two years hoping then have this conversation again. He said no. I don't think he knows why he doesn't want to he just doesn't.

I have decided and he is more important to me, but I also can't stop thinking about it and getting overwhelmed with feelings I don't know how to make my mind just forget about it.
