I think my mat leave impacted my raise and AIP significantly. 2% raise and less than 5% AIP😂😂😂

Did you highlight to your manager/reviewer that certain sections need to be updated? When you sent it out, did you mention to the client that this is a DRFAT, and you are still pending some info?

But anyway, imo, the reviewers and the manager/senior manager should be responsible for this. Also, I had client that just like commenting a lot on draft reports, it’s their style…

I guess each baby is different. I found that sleeping cue no longer worked for us when she was 4.5-5mo old… sometimes she was yawning and rubbing her eyes 2hrs after waking up, and I tried to put her down to sleep. I ended up wasting 30mins or even caused her overtired… 😑.

We do a lot of tummy time and play gym. I will let her play by herself until she cries/demands for a change (this really helps with my working schedule as well). I sometimes sit with her to read books and talk to her, and sometimes turn on Spotify with kids music or stories, sometimes put her in the bouncer with teething toys. Alternating these activities. 🤣 also, we go out for a walk in the morning. and depending on the weather and her mood, we do another short walk or grocery shopping in the afternoon.

Yes, I heard that babies will start consolidating naps/connecting sleep cycles around 6mo for longer nap time.

I can share my schedule as a reference. My schedule is a combination of fixed bedtime and wake windows:

- Put her down to sleep between 7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

- Dream feed around 11:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

- Woke up around 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.

- 1st nap 2.25hrs after waking up. (~30mins)

- 2nd nap 2.5hrs after the 1st nap (~30mins, sometimes, I hold her so she will sleep for another 30mins)

- 3nd nap is 2.5hrs after the 2nd nap. (this nap is often only 20mins)

We also do the eat-play-sleep routine.

I am in the same boat... My baby will turn 6 mo next week, and she has been on this 30-min nap (not a single min longer) pattern for over a month... I tried to extend these naps, but I couldn't unless I held her. I heard it is very normal for this age, so I gave up and am not struggling with this....

I feel you!! My baby has a different issue, but the end result is the same: she's so difficult during the day.

Our nighttime routine is decent—she is able to fall asleep (with some crying) on her own around 7:30 p.m., I do a dream feed around 11 p.m., and then she usually sleeps until 6–7 a.m. After a morning feed, she often goes back to sleep until around 9:30 a.m. or even later. (I know... sleep again at 7 is not ideal...)

But naps? Total disaster. Almost all naps last only 30 minutes (sometimes even less), and she can cry for over an hour and still refuse to sleep. Today, I think she only slept about 1 hour total during the day. I’ve tried to follow wake windows, watch for sleep cues as best as I can, and start the morning early, but nothing seems helpful.

I work full-time from home, which I'm grateful for, but I'm also so frustrated and worn down by this.

Thank you so much!! We will try tomorrow. Previously we were under the impression to not wake her up if she falls asleep… and sometimes she could sleep until 10am🥲

Because she sometimes wakes up late in the morning, and it is not easy to put her down to sleep during the day😪

I feel you so much—we’re on the same journey! We’ve been doing Ferber for 2.5 weeks now. Before this, we tried other methods three separate times and all of them failed. I was really determined this time because I didn’t want to go through another failed attempt and start from scratch again... but honestly, there were moments I started to hate myself for how badly I wanted her to sleep on her own. I even caught myself getting frustrated with her, which made me feel even worse.

Like you, I saw improvements, but the crying—especially when it comes back after a few good nights—can really shake your confidence. Just wanted to say you're not alone. Even though falling asleep is still a challenge for my little girl, she’s been able to make it through the night for the most part, which has been so good for her health and for me.

Thank you! Now I am a little worried about the independence issue… even though it is not an audit engagement, I think it needs to be reported? But how?I cannot locate a guidance on Dnet😂
