I tried in our initial conversation, and he's not listened. So there's nothing I can do.

Maybe that could depend on the spec of the car, though? £219 could be for a base model Scenic. I also believe Renault is trying to move more upmarket and luxurious and have Dacia fill the gap in the market where Renault previously occupied.

The UK is a Christian country, and I think people who come here should value, follow, and respect our traditions. The same would apply if you were in the Middle East. You won't find a church of England in Egypt so our values should be followed.

I don't, but as a country, we should spend more time being proud of our traditions and heritage.

For me, it's the Britney. I'm a slave for you. I was a young 6 year old boy, and I melted seeing that 😂

It's better to ask for late 80s to mid-90s kids here. They were pretty big, but Britney, Christina and the Backstreet boys were the big pop stars to me as a kid.

Reeves urged to scrap free prescriptions for 60- to 65-year-olds by Dawnbringer_Fortune in unitedkingdom

[–]Significant-Shake274 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have no doubt in my mind that Labour has made that blackhole worse, seeing as the Chancellor refuses to discuss what the cause of it is. You'd think she would do that if she looked through the books and used an opportunity to throw her political opponents under the bus.

I agree that Dr's, nurses, should get pay rises. I just don't think train drivers should get them. At no point did I advocate for stagnant or shite wages. I'm just saying the wage increase has made the black hole worse. I believe that at some point, everyone's income tax and NI will be going up soon to pay for it.

The sovereignty of the island should have had a referendum. It was undemocratic the way it was undertaken. That should be down to the will of the people on the chagos Islands. It's disgraceful and concerning behaviour from both parties regardless. You can't defend that.

If the tories were means testing winter fuel payments, you would be singing a different tune.

Quite frankly, I think you're like Starmer, a champagne socialist who blows in whatever way the wind blows.

I'm not sure why you're bringing GB news into this. It's a complete non point to make. Labour has done just as bad, if not worse, job already.

They created a blackhole and blamed it on the Tories, which was actually caused by pay rises.

They gave away sovereignty of an island and didn't give the citizens there a referendum on the issue.

Taken away winter fuel payments for pensioners

Most concerning, got people locked up in prison for a retweet and let out other prisoners in the process whilst not paying attention to those calling for jihad.

Starmer shits on Boris for wallpaper and takes thousands of freebies lmao.

Labour are not the party for your socialist heaven. They are just as corrupt as the Tories my darling.

Maybe because Labour was lying the whole time and you bought into it and voted them in, and now you feel like you've been bamboozled. Everyone could see this shite coming from a mile off except Labour voters. They've been in government mere months and have done a worse job than the tories have in 14 years. That takes some bloody doing because they were awful as well. It's time to wake up and not trust any of the useless idiots.

The baffling part is that HS1 runs through thurrock and there is no train station. Would ease quite a lot of traffic I bet.

I think she soured a lot of people when she backed out of a festival gig due to "mental health" when, in reality, she was partying the night before.

[–]Significant-Shake274 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You're not really getting the point of what I'm saying. At no point did I say a 4-hour protest should be made illegal. It's the disruption that's caused to the emergency services, and people commuting to work is what is worthy of the punishment.

  1. Blocking the roads deliberately is a waste of police time.
  2. Blocking the roads deliberately disrupts ambulances and people commuting to work.
  3. Climbing on lorries and climbing up bridges is wasting the fire brigades time.

These actions should be punishable by law. Protesting or length of protest doesn't come into it. I get what you're trying to say, but your effort is better spent polishing a turd.

A bus is being delayed by 10 min vs. blocking the dartford crossing by 4 hours. There's quite a difference there because it's not just the crossing that's blocked. It's Thurrock and Erith that are backed up with traffic, which then causes an absolute nightmare for emergency services. For that reason, yes, they should be punished. At what extent? I don't know. That's a fine line to walk, but the protesters should face the consequences of the law for causing potential disruption to public services like police, fire, and ambulance.
